Again, posting the EXACT same deal.
To NYI: Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lang, Legace, Lidstrom
To Det: Peca, Blake, Biron, Brewer, Colliton, Papineau.
Now, I dont want to hear who compares to who and what not. I have seen some pretty d**n suspicious trades over the last week, and how this one doenst go through when some of the others did, baffles the hell out of me. Lidstrom makes 8Mill a year, you try moving someone with that kind of salary, when you dump, you dont get exact equal value back, you have to sometimes sacrifice. I am losing 25 year old brewer, one of the top dmen in the league, OV may not show true numbers. Getting Legace was basically a move to replace Biron as a backup, but Biron was going, so had to find a replacement. Peca and Blake bring great D at a half low price. Colliton and Papineau are going to be good players. Move was made to cut salary and address some issues, which we both did. I had salary to take on, and he had lots to dump. With some of the other deals that went down, this deserves a second look.

Ok listen here phoenix. You of all people have had more "questionable" deals go through than anyone else in this league. Anyway, I dont want to hear who you say is better and who is worth what, I dont care. Thats your opinion, not mine. You dont run my team, nor detroits team, so dont tell me whos worth who. I didnt mention any of the players I got in return? No, nothing about taking on one of the biggest contracts in the league, and getting back a half decent backup goalie for one of the best young goalies out there. This was a salary dump for detroit, as he cant make any deals because of it that. Peca and Blake are vets who contribute, and are great defense forwards. Like I said, Colliton and Papineau should get as good as Zetterberg and Datsyuk in the near future. Deal is may not be tit for tat, but its half close, and because of what we were both looking for this fits us both.

Okay NYI, there is a right way, and a wrong way to do things. I sent an email out earlier, saying if you didn't agree with it, feel free to appeal the trade. Or take it up with me, in private, there is no need to contineu to post on this board and blow up the problem. There really isn't. Now there are several reasons why this trade has been negated.
A. Detroit could get alot closer to being under the cap, if he just did his lines, yet he has failed to do that.
B. Detroit as mentioned that he is thinking about quitting, if he doesn't care about the league or his team that much, we are not going to let him rip apart his team then quit.
C. If you think it's such a great deal, just add some other player in to try and make it closer, Throw it in Parrish
D. "half decent backup goalie for one of the best young goalies out there." Please tell me, you were not talking about Biron being one of the "Best young goalies"..You know he's not Maybe if you delt Rick D, you'd be able to use that line.
Deals rejected, if you got problems, take it up with me, keep it off the board.
